Debt has been a constant battle for our families, and especially in our younger years, debt had a significant control over us. Now — more than ever — our hurting and confused culture is a raging battleground between the very real forces of good and evil and light and darkness. America is at a crisis point, yet the Body of Christ is still asleep in many places and non-existent in our communities where our light must shine.

As Christians, when we start participating in the culture we discover some harsh realities. People are not always kind, and it is not easy to be a Christ-follower engaging within a hostile world.

Jesus taught that the first shall be last, the last shall be first, and whoever would be the greatest must be the servant of all (Matthew 19:30, Mark 10:43-44). This is an “upside-down kingdom.”

If God has not given us a spirit of fear, why are so many in Church leadership in the United States fearful? Fearful of government, fearful of the media, fearful of the culture, fearful of public opinion, fearful of losing members – and with them donations.

Our Jewish friends are under attack!

If we call ourselves Christ followers, we need to stand up loudly against these movements that are springing up on our college campuses and around the nation.

We need to be aware that Marxist philosophies and anti-Semitic philosophies disguised as new “theologies” are sneaking into our churches.

It’s here. As surely as the leaves are turning color and there’s a chill in the air. There’s no avoiding or escaping it, hope as we might. There’s no ignoring its urgent, pleading, grasping tentacles. It’s invading your email and interrupting your television. It’s blaring on the radio. It’s in your face.

Another season of politics is upon us, and the sky is falling.

Christians around America are waking up. We can’t sit on the sidelines any longer.

God is breaking down walls between denominations, races, and generations and uniting us around a mission of prayer and action for the nation that we love.

America needs us, the Body of Christ, to be fully awake and engaged.

In the Old Testament, Moses instructed the Israelites to teach their children the scriptures and pass their faith in God and His greatness to each generation. This was a command that they did not always obey. Consequently, they were at war with their enemies, oppressed, continually drawn away to worship idols, and finally carried off to Babylon. Likewise, we have not been faithful in passing on our Christian heritage to our progeny. Consequently, there has been a lack of knowledge of the true foundation on which this nation was birthed.
