Ascending to the Upper Room of Prayer
We often speak of “mountaintop” experiences where we spend time alone with God. These encounters bring peace, joy, wisdom and revelation from Him and of Him, sometimes in a profound way. Ascending to the high places to abide with God will often transform us—He knows that. God is always calling out to us to come up higher.
Are We Ready for a Pentecost Outpouring or Are We Pushing Our Proverbial Snooze Buttons?
The late Leonard Ravenhill…used to say, “Many want an Upper Room experience like on the day of Pentecost, but they’re unwilling to humble themselves on their knees at the Cross of Christ.”
Can The World Tell?
It was another booze-soaked night. There had been plenty of them over the years. He was known as the local drunk. People snickered and whispered when they saw him stumbling down the street in his usual besotted stupor.
Others just shook their heads. Some crossed the street to avoid him. He was unshaven, unkempt, and unwashed. He stunk. A sad and despicable specimen of a life gone terribly wrong.
