Hon. Michele Bachmann Joins Our National Advisory Board
Dear Friends -
Because of our work together, we are witnessing a groundswell of Christians who have been awakened to the importance of civic engagement. 2024 is our year, and we are working like never before to mobilize and educate the Body of Christ for the wellbeing of America.
We are pleased to announce that the Honorable Michele Bachmann has accepted a position on the National Advisory Board for Christians Engaged.
The first Republican woman to be elected to Congress from Minnesota in 2006, a Presidential candidate in 2012, and now the Dean of the Robertson School of Government at Regent University, Michele is a highly respected leader who is deeply committed to promoting biblical values in our government. It is an honor to have her join us!
When I was a guest on the 700 Club last month, Dean Bachmann and I spent time together ahead of my interview, and she prayed for me and Christians Engaged, that “the fire that fell on Pat Robertson to mobilize the Body of Christ would fall on us for this generation.”
It was a defining moment in my life, and I believe it shifted the destiny of our ministry. I cannot say how thankful I am to have her walking alongside of us.
Michele Bachmann is the embodiment of a Christian who is engaged. As a committed Christian, wife, mother to 5, foster mom to 23, homeschool mom, and IRS attorney, her interest in education reform led her to a career in politics. Michele boldly lives her faith and is an outstanding example of following God’s call on her life.
Now at Regent University in Virginia Beach - Dean Bachmann helped us to receive “advance standing” at Regent for every person who takes our On-Ramp to Civic Engagement and Salt and Light: How to Impact our Local Communities courses, and then goes on to apply to the University.
Here is what Michele wrote in the Afterword for my book, Jesus and Politics
“I am so proud to walk beside Bunni as she educates Christians on how to pray for America, the importance of voting in every election, and how they can practically engage in their civic duties and with government from a biblical viewpoint.....She stepped out humbly after a time of brokenness and said, “Jesus, use me!” As a result, Christians Engaged is filling a huge hole in the body of Christ. Her story should inspire us all to walk daily with Jesus and disciple the nation one elected official or neighbor at a time.”
At Christians Engaged, we believe these 3 things:
That it is time for Christians to start talking with God about what is happening in our nation (PRAY)
That it is time for Christians to begin researching their ballots and voting in every election (VOTE)
That it is time for Christians to move outside our churches and be the leaders in our communities. (ENGAGE)
Won’t you join us today in our mission to mobilize 1 million Christians this election year with prayer and voting reminders? In addition to our strategic ministry partnerships and the appearances we are making on Christian TV, radio, and podcasts, we can reach 2,500 Christians online in key places in our nation for only $1,000, 1,250 Christians for $500, 625 Christians for $250, and 250 Christians for $100.
Will you help us today with a gift of $1,000, $500, $250 or $100? We need you.
Your support at any level moves us closer to helping our brothers and sisters answer their call, by equipping them to walk boldly. You can donate online today and help us to reach our 2024 goal. It is time for change.
For Liberty,
Bunni Pounds
President of Christians Engaged
