MAY I STRAIGHT TICKET VOTE FOR MY PARTY OF CHOICE?
No, straight ticket voting has been eliminated in Texas. You must go through your entire ballot and select your candidates of choice.
I WANT TO VOTE BY MAIL, HOW CAN I DO THAT?
You can request an absentee ballot and vote by mail if you meet at least one of these criteria:
You are 65 years or older.
You are disabled.
You will be out of the county during the voting period.
You are confined in jail, but otherwise eligible.
Your request must be received (in person or by mail) by Friday, October 23rd. Full details can be found on the Texas Secretary of State website HERE.
I’M CONFUSED…HOW DO I DECIDE WHO TO VOTE FOR?
Spend some time researching the candidates in each race on your ballot and then make your choice.
Look at the candidate websites to see where they stand on the issues.
Look at who supports them: organizations, groups, key endorsements, etc.
Compare their positions and stances with God’s Word.

I’VE HEARD SOMETHING ABOUT MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS?
In response to COVID-19, Texas Governor Greg Abbott moved the date of the municipal elections from May to the upcoming November election. Because of this, for the first time in many communities, there will be non-partisan races at the bottom of the ballot. These candidates need to researched carefully. (This is another good reason to print off your ballot beforehand).
WHEN IS ELECTION DAY?
Tuesday, November 3rd. Polls will be open from 7 am - 7 pm.
