A Statement on the Loss of Charlie Kirk from Our President & Founder

I woke up in Israel to the devastating news of Charlie Kirk’s assassination. I am undone by it. I can’t move.

He was a man who was faithful to follow God in his personal life through the study of the Word of God, through faithful leadership of his family, and through the movements he birthed, empowering millions in the convergence of faith, civics, politics, and biblical worldview.

He was discipling a generation.

This is a huge loss for America and the Gospel that I can’t even describe.

I was just thinking last week about the reality of Charlie’s impact already at only age 31, and how much more, over the next 50 years, he would impact the nation.

What an honor it was to meet him so many times. What an honor it was to speak in front of him once and pray for him backstage. It was a moment I will cherish forever.

What an honor it was to run, in some little way, with this man in a movement of faith and politics.

He was going to read the Bible with us next year as part of our America Reads the Bible event.

He was going to do a lot in his life, but now he is with Jesus.

Today we mourn…

Today we pray for his precious wife, his children, and his parents.

Today we pray for every young person and older person that is mourning his death.

“We weep not as the world weeps…” We have hope, but we still will mourn.

Looking down on the location of the Battle of Armageddon, I can’t stop crying, but I know in the end, truth will win over darkness. I know this is all hitting us hard, but we have two choices—quit, or recommit ourselves again to stand for biblical truth regardless of the cost. Reality—in the end—we WIN! Jesus is the Victor. Psalm 2:1–12.
