2022 Mid-Year Report

Dear Friends -

This has been a busy year for Christians Engaged, as we have experienced tremendous opportunities and growth ministry-wide. I am excited to share some of our ministry milestones and future plans with you.

So far this year, we have organized a Church Outreach Team in Pennsylvania, held dozens of ministry and outreach events throughout Texas, have begun developing our nationally-focused “Get Out the Vote” communication platform, and have launched an online curriculum library to resource churches and individual families across the United States.

You have been an integral part of this ministry’s success, and I want to personally thank you for helping us empower Christians to transform our communities through prayer, voting, and engagement.

Key Ministry Updates

A National Communication System to Push the Church to Pray and Vote Regularly

We are designing the first communication platform of its kind to empower Christians across all 50 states to pray weekly for our leaders and nation, vote biblically in every election, and engage in civic education and involvement.

By communicating with Christians through text and email, we will be able to witness nationwide what we have already seen in Texas—a lifestyle change that occurs once Christians learn the value and the joy of voting in every election. (FYI: An impressive 72% of our Pledge takers in Texas voted in the 2022 Texas Primary Election).

Video Courses Available On-Demand - A Resource Library for All

The July 1st launch of our On-Ramp to Civic Engagement online course was our ministry’s first big step to resourcing the Body of Christ nationally. This brand-new course, taught by top Christian and Government leaders, features 12 in-depth video lectures with accompanying slides, notes, and discussion questions. Topics covered include, Party Politics & Political Advocacy, Issues from a Biblical Perspective, How to Operate as a Christian in Politics, Religious Liberty & How to Share the Gospel, and more. We believe that this course has the power to shift hearts and minds across our nation.

I recently appeared on the TV program, Life Today with James and Betty Robison to promote the course, and our friends and ministry partners, Dave and Kris Kubal with Intercessors for America, are also promoting it to their network.

This fall, to prepare Texans to actively participate in the legislative process, we will be promoting our Austin 101 online curriculum, which extensively covers the mechanics of the Texas Legislature.

Our classes led by our Board Member, Ben Quine (Cornerstone Curriculum) on hot-button issues such as, Racism, Justice, and Economics have been well-received and serve as a much needed, biblically-based counterpoint to the secular narratives surrounding these issues. We plan to develop these into an on-demand video curriculum in the future.

On a personal note, teaching on the Leadership of Nehemiah for our weekly Bible Study has been an incredible joy and adventure, and I have been writing an accompanying book and curriculum throughout the study.

Finally, our newest course, How to be Salt and Light in Our Communities is slated to be released by the end of 2022. In this course, we drill down on how to engage politically with city governments, county governments, and school boards. Participants will also receive practical instruction on how to make an impact in our individual communities.

Free Content and Events to Empower and Educate the Body of Christ

Our ministry is not stopping there, as we continue daily to offer dynamic resources to encourage, educate, and empower Christians—including national prayer calls, Awakening Night events, in-person On-Ramp training seminars, and church appearances.

This year, we have published 100+ articles on prayer, voting, and engagement on ChristiansEngaged.org, and each month, our blog is visited by thousands of people across our nation and world.

Lastly, the reach of our Conversations with Christians Engaged podcast has continued to expand. This season, we’ve featured many notable guests, including, Hon. Michelle Bachmann, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, Hon. Jeb Hensarling, Sean Feucht, Dr. Jim Denison, Elizabeth Johnston, Allan Parker, Dr. Conrad Vine, Rick Green, and Tim Barton. I encourage you to watch or listen to these conversations.

"We are so appreciative for the work you and your nonprofit are doing." -Hon. Michele Bachmann

"I am so thankful for what you do; a lot of people talk the talk, but you really walk the walk." -Allie Beth Stuckey

"So excited about what you're doing, and the people you're reaching—just equipping people." -Rick Green

Do our educational resources, events, and engagement efforts resonate with you?

In order to stay on track with our expansion and outreach plans, we need to raise an additional $100,000 by September 30th. Can you help us get there?

We have the vision and the determination, but need the financial resources to make it happen.
