Below is a list reflecting the aforementioned changes (this list will be continually updated as the situation continues to develop).

MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

On March 18th, Governor Abbott issued a proclamation that would allow municipalities to postpone their May 2nd elections to the general Election Day (November 3rd). This proclamation leaves the decision on whether or not to postpone in the hands of the local election officials.

If local officials decide to postpone their respective county’s election from May to November, early voting dates will then line up with the already established early voting dates of October 19-30.

To verify if their municipal elections or school board elections have been postponed, individuals will need to check with their local elections department (this information can be found on the respective county’s elections website).

We, here at Christians Engaged, IF YOU HAVE TAKEN THE PLEDGE, will be reminding you before May 3rd to check your local municipalities to see if they are rescheduled.

Again, our Christians Engaged reminders through text and email will make sure you double check this so you don’t miss these important city elections. Don’t forget to TAKE THE PLEDGE if you haven’t already.
