The Struggle is REAL (Encouragement for this Moment)
By Bunni Pounds & Christians Engaged Leadership
We just went through the hardest year in most of our lives and now THIS - a Presidential election that seems as if it will never end.
We can be frustrated, depressed, or we can ask God what HE is up to.
God is always working and always turning ALL things for our good - but what IS He up to?
I ended our prayer call on Monday night with these words “Rejoice Always!” (I Thessalonians 5:16), not knowing what the next few days would bring. If you haven’t watched it - let it be a resource for you now.
Let’s remind our souls of this scripture as well: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)
I want to encourage you with some exhortations posted yesterday on social media by our leadership that God is working in this hour.
Here is mine (Bunni Pounds):
I got addicted to politics during the 2000 Election watching the FL recount (Bush vs. Gore).
Praying for a NEW generation to be raised up during this current struggle that will realize that their prayers and VOTES matter!
God is moving! All of this is for our good, I KNOW!
Ian Stageman:
Regardless of the outcome of the Presidential election, I can say victoriously that the PRAYING church has AWAKENED to intercede on behalf of those in the governmental realm and with the affairs of our nation. The political realm needs a praying church. It is long overdue but joyfully welcomed.
Trayce Bradford:
Father, You have seen this day! Your word says before You formed us You knew us, before a word is on our lips You know it full well!
Nothing will surprise You, You are faithful!
You tell us to come before Your throne during times of need of Your great mercy! Today we are before You, on our face in humility.
In Your plan You entrusted us to steward this great nation. Thank You, thank You that In all history You have appointed for us to be here today as Your children calling out for mercy and Your provision, to save this nation unto Yourself! You tell us to ask and You will give us the nations! We are asking! You have a plan and purpose for each nation, may our hearts and prayers align with Your plans.
As the word says You will pour out Your wisdom into our hearts! Pour Your peace and joy out into Your children today as well!
The Church will not be silent, we will worship You without end! Your great lovingkindness flows out like a drink offering, Your mercy is incomparable and Your grace unfathomable! We will speak the name of our Savior, our King of Kings, the Consuming Fire, The Beloved King Jesus for now and evermore!
You are the Great I Am, Waymaker, Lord Over All, Promise Keeper! The Same, yesterday, today and tomorrow!
In that most Priceless, Matchless Name of Yeshua, Jesus Christ we lay this before You on the altar of prayer! Amen!🏻♥️🇺🇸🏻♥️🏻
Dorothy Brooks:
If you are filled with anxiety today. Sit in an easy chair with your feet up and listen to this worship song. And remember: If for no OTHER reason than to pray, we are here to glorify God at this period in history. If the election is being stolen, God is NOT mocked. There will be a lot of reaping for what is being sowed. It is a privilege to have the grave responsibility to pray for MERCY. If the results are fair, we must pray for all deeply disappointed. We must love our brothers and sisters.
Samuel Bistrian:
“Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the LORD to you: ‘DO NOT BE AFRAID nor dismayed because of this great multitude, FOR THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, BUT GOD’S.
You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the LORD is with you.” (2 Chronicles 20:15, 17)
Marty Reid:
God is not taken by surprise! He's not up in heaven ringing His hands wondering what will we do now? No! He's large and in charge! He has a plan! We will follow His leading and His direction! He's got this! Stay calm and carry on!
“I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” (I Timothy 2:1-2)
Righteous Father, I pray for the men and women in political leadership that they may turn to You when they need to make decisions. Please move upon the hearts of those who legislate and those who vote for them. May our country turn to You now more wholeheartedly than ever.
Bianca Gracia:
No care in the World right now cause I know the God I serve! Stay in Prayer!
Cindy Asmussen:
This is truly unprecedented and every American should be on their knees.
Scott Jones:
Pray with us for our nation.
Psalm 5 - Prayer for Protection from the Wicked.
“Give ear to my words, O LORD, Consider my groaning.
Heed the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, For to You I pray.
In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness; No evil dwells with You.
The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes; You hate all who do iniquity.
You destroy those who speak falsehood; The LORD abhors the man of bloodshed and deceit.
But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house, At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.
O LORD, lead me in Your righteousness because of amy foes; Make Your way straight before me.
There is nothing reliable in what they say; Their inward part is destruction itself. Their throat is an open grave; They flatter with their tongue.
Hold them guilty, O God; By their own devices let them fall! In the multitude of their transgressions thrust them out, For they are rebellious against You.
But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may exult in You.
For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O LORD, You surround him with favor as with a shield.”
